Courtney Cooper received her Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and has been working with children, teenagers and adults in the Charlotte area for ten years. She has extensive experience working with adolescents having problems with school performance, peer and family relationships, legal issues and substance use and abuse. She also has vast experience in family therapy, leading both parenting and multi-family groups, facilitating therapy groups for teens and conducting clinical assessments for individuals seeking mental health and substance abuse services. Courtney is provisionally licensed as a Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS-P) and is committed to working with adolescents and adults who are affected by their own alcohol/drug abuse, or family members who need guidance and support because of a loved one’s addiction. Courtney feels strongly that the therapeutic process should be guided by the client who is encouraged to identify and build on the strengths that he/she possesses.
